The Poise Rite

Profile

Their songs are solid rock numbers, coming out of the dusk in a slow tempo, enveloped in an aura of psychedelic colours. Add to that poetic lyrics written with feeling, brimming with existential reflections - and the result is that these simple and suggestive guitar compositions, carefully crafted, acquire a specific charm and promising sound.
The essence of the band is made up of three inimitable organs. They are reluctant to talk of any influences, although they accentuate their inspirations of course. They are fully aware of the artistic road they have chosen, and continue in this direction.

• The Poise Rite has recently played well known UK venues such as The Astoria (London), The Clapham Grand, Mean fiddler, Bull & Gate, Cargo, Buffalo Bar, Scala, Telegraph, as well as Fort Regent in Jersey. They have also recently played shows in Poland, including Stodola in Warsaw. The band is currently in the process of arranging further shows around the UK and in Poland (and beyond) for the coming months.
• The video to the track “Underground” has been completed, and is available for viewing on the band’s website. It has being aired on some music channels and is receiving favourable reviews.
• The songs “Follow Me” and “One Day From Future” have reached no. 2 and no. 4 respectively on the Ragtime.com top 10 chart. The Unsigned Chart aims to be the definitive chart of the finest unsigned music in the UK.
• ... stunning ... their album should make good listening for any fans of strong bass lines, intelligent guitars, pronounced vocals, and dominant drumming ... it may just be worth keeping an ear open for these guys. They might just be bursting onto the scene soon. (www.rockpulse.com)
• ... there is certainly a future for the band ... with its big eighties-esque vocals and loud crunching guitars ... they’re almost like a heavy Interpol or a European tinged Black Rebel Motorcycle Club ... good fun and a mighty fine racket. (www.subba-cultcha.com)
• The songs “Unaccustomed” and ” Underground” feature on a recent Sound On Sound (The world’s best music recording magazine) DVD.

On stage at Glastonbury this summer.
