Formed 18 months ago by Graham New and Andrea Oggiano as a rock/folk duo, Sikora began with passionate acoustic performances in music pubs, clubs and university halls around Sheffield, building up to more high profile venues. They play original material and have used their time well over the past year, combining blood, sweat and tears at band practice, creative writing and live performances.

By early 2006 Sikora had evolved into a four-piece band featuring the amazing vocals of Andrea, a young Sardinian, who moved to Sheffield and joined songwriter Graham a couple of years ago. Dave White was recruited on bass and David Fong came in on drums.

Sikora continue to play different audiences in and around Sheffield and over the past six months have played such venues as The Boardwalk, DnR Live, The Grapes and Bar Matrix.

In January 2007 Sikora went into the studio to record three new tracks with Arctic Monkeys' producer Alan Smyth.
