Edwin Newton, aka EcKSell, is a 22 year old rapper from West London in the UK. He had a colourful childhood, had few problems with authorities and got himself with the wrong crowd and nearly lost his life. His near death experience made him stronger and a drastic change was noticed in him. He started to appreciate life and began to focus on what he does best, his songwriting. He was involved in a anti GUN and KNIFE crime documentary for Channel 4, and wrote a tribute rap song for DamilolaTaylor, Stephen Lawrence and Baby P titled “Life Ain't What It Seems”. Edwin was introduced by his dad to TYLER a producer, who had a lengthy time in the music industry. EcKSell spends endless hours in the studio, which he refers to as his second home. He is a perfectionist, his motto is “don't tell me the sky is the limit when there are footprints on the moon”. He has been working on several tracks featuring other unsigned artists, and has just finished shooting the official video for his first single HYPNOTIZE, featuring female singer Sarah aka S.J. from Longfield.

He performs in venues all over London and UK. He was was asked to perform for the 2011 Catwalk show for Mr and Mrs Runway after some great feedback from performances in London. He has recently met boxer James DeGale and has written a track for him, hopes to do some collaboration with him in the future. He attended his Press conference and was interviewed by I Film London. He is currently in talks to perform at the summer music festival in 2012 in North of England with an audience of over 65,000. EcKSell is dynamic on stage, has great passion for music and always keeps his audience wanting more.
