Andrew Boss is a songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist based in New York. After short-lived stints in local bands, as well as trying his hand as a solo artist, Andrew realized that his bigger passion is working behind the scenes, writing and producing songs for and with other talented artists.Over the past couple of years, Andrew has worked with several established writers, producers and artists, as well as some exciting up-and-comers.
Often gravitating towards musical instruments before he could even walk (or talk), Andrew's journey into music began at an early age. Fueling his love of music was a home environment where music from all walks of life was embraced and constantly played. Whether it was the Jazz of Miles Davis, the Italian Pop of Adriano Celentano, or the classical stylings of Beethoven, Andrew was studying the greats carefully. Like many other aspiring musicians, Andrew's world was changed when he discovered The Beatles. From that point on he began learning how to write songs and play the guitar by teaching himself how to play Beatles songs. "There is no way I would be a musician without The Beatles. I think many people could say the same thing," says Andrew.
Eventually, the intrigue of studio work and the focus on songwriting as a craft began to become too strong to ignore. Looking to past greats such as Quincy Jones, George Martin, and Phil Spector, as well as current masters like Max Martin, Dr. Luke, and Toby Gad, Andrew found inspiration to pursue a career as a songwriter/producer.
Andrew's focus is to craft songs that make the artist shine, regardless of the genre. "I love all styles of music and I try to incorporate that into my songs. However, I believe that a great song is a great song no matter what the genre is," says Andrew
Currently, Andrew is focusing his efforts on his writing/production teams The Zillionaires and MuSIK Entertainment Group. |
